The Rosicrucian Order

Discover How Extraordinary You Really Are Rosicrucian Order, AMORC Rosicrucian Order, AMORC

AMORC

There is only one universal Rosicrucian Order existing in the world today, united in its various jurisdictions, and having one Supreme Council in accordance with the original plan of the ancient Rosicrucian manifestoes. The Rosicrucian Order is not a religious or sectarian society.

This international organization retains the ancient traditions, teachings, principles, and practical helpfulness of the Order as founded centuries ago. It is known as the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, which name, for popular use, is abbreviated into AMORC. The headquarters of the Worldwide Jurisdiction (The Americas, Australasia, Europe, Africa and Asia) is located at San Jose, California.

The Order is primarily a humanitarian movement, making for greater Health, Happiness, and Peace in people's earthly lives, for we are not concerned with any doctrine devoted to the interests of individuals living in an unknown, future state. The Work of Rosicrucians is to be done here and now; not that we have neither hope nor expectation of another life after this, but we know that the happiness of the future depends upon what we do today for others as well as for ourselves.

The Purpose of the Rosicrucian Order

The Rosicrucian Order, which exists throughout the world, is a nonsectarian fraternal body of men and women devoted to the investigation, study, and practical application of natural and spiritual laws. The purpose of the organization is to enable every one to live in harmony with the creative, constructive forces for the attainment of health, happiness, and peace. The Order is internationally known as the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis and, in America and all other lands, constitutes the only form of Rosicrucian activities united in one body. The A.M.O.R.C. (an acronym) does not sell its teachings. It gives them freely to affiliated members, together with many other benefits. For complete information about the benefits and advantages of Rosicrucian affiliatation please visit www.rosicrucian.org.

What Is An Affiliated Body?

The Grand Lodge of AMORC makes it possible for members to attend local extensions of its activities in various communities. Therefore, it is possible for members so desiring to attend such Lodges, Chapters, or Pronaoi and benefit by their functions.

A member may visit without obligation. After visiting a number of times, he or she is invited to become a member of the affiliated body and receive the impressive traditional Initiation therein. Information for affiliation can be obtained from the Secretary.

The values of an affiliated body to a Rosicrucian member are many. It provides, for example, an opportunity to know and meet with other Rosicrucians: to receive the full Degree Initiation which are given in the Rosicrucian Lodges; to hear discourses and witness demonstrations both mystical and scientific; to participate in Rosicrucian forums; and to join in the fraternal relationship of the Order.

Pronaos

Pronaos:

The word Pronaos refers to the outer vestibule or portico to the entrance of the temple.

A Pronaos is the smallest affiliated body in size. It has a fewer number of members but may grow into a Chapter as membership increases in the area. It provides discourses and impressive mystical rituals, as well as forums and other membership benefits.
